The R&D team of DENZA Plug-in Hybrid Vehicle is composed of an elite team from China and Germany. They are located in both China and Germany, making full use of the strengths and expertise of the two countries in different fields to ensure the R&D process of DENZA vehicles. The Chinese BYD team is mainly responsible for the vehicle’s electrical system, the German Mercedes team is mainly responsible for the vehicle’s exterior design and body safety, etc., while the whole vehicle design and system integration are completed by the two sides through mutual exchanges.

The DENZA Z9 is a D-segment luxury version of the flagship sedan, which boasts a large rear passenger space to create a sense of luxury and comfort. The vehicle comes with an intelligent executive center island, dual 50W wireless charging technology in the rear with pop-up dual cup trailer design, bringing ultra-convenient enjoyment to rear riders. It also comes with rear dual side electric sunshade with front and rear intelligent cold and warm dual refrigerators.The Z9 Plug-in version has a pure electric range of 201km under CLTC conditions, but it can reach a combined range of 1,101km.The DENZA Z9 GT version has a more powerful power performance compared to the Z9, and has a higher range than the Z9 in terms of both the pure electric driving range and the combined range. In particular, it should be noted that it in extreme cases, the Z9 GT’S rear-wheel steering system can actively adjust the rear-wheel beam foot, greatly improving driving safety.
The DENZA D9 model is equipped with a Snapdragon – plug-in dedicated turbocharged 1.5T high-efficiency engine and a Super Hybrid dedicated power blade battery, it has a combined range of up to 1,050km, with a pure electric range of up to 200km, and it supports the vehicle’s fast-charging function, which ensures the user’s convenience when driving in the city. He is based on BYD e platform 3.0 technology, using the world’s first dual-gun super charging technology, but also able to achieve 6.9s zero 100km acceleration speed.
