JAC Motors has formed a production system in which the core production and manufacturing bases are located in China and are dispersed globally. In 2015, JAC motor company built a joint venture factory with SAP Kazakhstan, which is the first Chinese brand with CKD production qualification in Kazakhstan; In 2019, JAC Motors unveiled its “Fuel + Electric” strategy in Mexico, which enables it to develop and produce high-torque pickup trucks that are tailored to the country’s terrain to meet local logistics and off-road needs. Efficient vehicle power: The power system of JAC fuel models presents a two-line structure of optimization of the traditional internal combustion engine and breakthroughs in hybrid technology. The traditional internal combustion engine means that the vehicle is equipped with JAC’s self-developed 1.5T engine, which adopts 350bar high-pressure direct injection technology and low-inertia scroll supercharging technology, which can make the vehicle’s thermal efficiency reach 39.1%, and this engine has been selected as one of the “Heart of China” Top Ten Engines for three consecutive years, with a cumulative installed capacity of over 2 million units. Hybrid technology refers to the 2.0L Atkinson cycle engine + P1 + P4 dual motor architecture, which utilizes a series connection mode to improve energy conversion efficiency.
Lightweight body: JACvehicles has the country’s first full-process lightweight laboratory, which has developed a hybrid body structure of “high-strength steel + aluminum alloy + composite materials”. JAC T8 pickup, for example, adopts 65% of 780MPa high-strength steel, which, together with its topology optimization technology, achieves a weight reduction of 129kg, but the torsional stiffness has been increased by 23%, realizing the purpose of weight reduction without quality loss. Such lightweight technology also makes the vehicle’s 100km fuel consumption reduced by 0.3-0.5L.
Intelligent Vehicle Transmission: The JAC fuel model has two types of transmissions to choose from, the 9DCT transmission adopts a wet dual clutch with a hydraulic control module, which can shorten the shift response time to 0.2 seconds; the 8AT transmission is mainly targeted at the fuel model of commercial vehicles, and its maximum input torque can reach 800N-m.

The center console is leather with wood grain trim to enhance the vehicle’s sense of luxury, and the standard 10.4-inch touchscreen LCD center control screen integrates functions such as Telematics, Bluetooth phone, voice control, etc., and also supports operations such as remote car search and door opening and closing. JAC L5 adopts the combination of front double-wishbone independent suspension and rear integral bridge type non-independent suspension, which can take into account the stability of handling and the vehicle’s loading capacity, and its powertrain includes gasoline and diesel versions, which can be selected by users according to the actual needs. The vehicle has a dual design of active and passive safety, which can improve driving convenience under the condition of ensuring safety.
