AITO Automobile, born in 2021, is jointly created by Huawei and Ceres Group. Its brand name combines the meaning of “AI+TOGETHER” and “Adding Intelligence to Auto”. It refers to the deep integration of intelligent technology into automobile manufacturing, and is committed to the beautiful vision of synergistic development of people, cars, homes and intelligent technology. Relying on Huawei’ many years of technological precipitation in the ICT field and the production strength of the “4.0 factory” of Ceres Industries, AITO Auto has created a new automotive model of “software-defined automobile”. The core competitiveness of AITO automobile includes four points: the intelligence of the vehicle, the advancement of the vehicle technology, the assurance of the vehicle quality and the safety of the vehicle driving, which has won wide recognition in the market by virtue of its excellent product performance and intelligent driving experience.
AITO Automobile’s production and R&D capability is attributed to the brand’s overall globalization layout. In China, AITO Motors is backed by the Sallis Smart Factory, which is built according to the technical standards of “Industry 4.0” and is equipped with five major process technologies, including “stamping, welding, painting, general assembly, and battery pack”. The overall factory is based on big data and Internet of Things, and realizes the collaborative work of each department through intelligent robot operation, realizes 100% automation process of key processes on multiple vehicle production, ensures 24-hour on-line monitoring inside the factory, and ensures the quality of product output. The factory currently adopts the “Iron Triangle” supply chain management mechanism, including R & D, production, supply chain team in the factory co-ordination mode, to ensure that 100% of the vehicle parts and components are delivered in a complete set, all-round control of the production of vehicles, so that the entire chain to form a complete closed-loop. In particular, it was pointed out that the Chongqing Smart Factory of SALIS introduced the world’s leading 9,000T integrated die-casting machine, whose existence realizes the double technological breakthroughs of lightweight bodywork and vehicle structural strength. Overseas, AITO Motors has partnered with local automaker Proton in Malaysia on a technology-exporting model to produce some of its EREV models, including the AITO M5, on a CKD (Component Kitting and Delivery) basis. In the Middle East, AITO Motors has also partnered with Elysee Cars in Qatar to localize the production of AITO EREV using a shared assembly line production method.
In terms of vehicle research and development, the AITO brand is in deep cooperation with Huawei, which mainly supports the technical aspects of vehicles based on its own advantages in the field of communications, artificial intelligence and intelligent terminals, while Sailis provides various technologies in automobile manufacturing and new energy. AITO integrates the R&D resources of both parties to form a professional R&D team that includes electronic information, automotive engineering and artificial intelligence in multiple fields. The entire R&D network is centered in China and spreads out to Munich, Germany, Tokyo, Japan, Singapore and other places. Munich, Germany is mainly responsible for leading the development of the adaptability of each model; Tokyo, Japan is mainly responsible for the development of high nickel and low cobalt batteries in conjunction with Panasonic, and Singapore is the establishment of an algorithm center, mainly to study the program adapted to the complex road conditions in Southeast Asia.

AITO M5 EREV is a high-end programmable electric SUV. The overall shape of the vehicle continues the AITO brand’s design concept of simplicity and purity, which is in line with urban ecological aesthetics. The front of the vehicle adopts a closed shark nose with racing-level air intakes on both sides, while the sides of the vehicle have a streamlined double waistline and the rear has a Swallow tail, giving the vehicle an overall energetic and sporty look. Its hidden door handles reduce wind resistance to 0.266Cd when the vehicle is in motion. The interior design of the M5 EREV is rich in technology, and the car is equipped with a 15.6-inch center screen, a 10.4-inch full LCD instrument cluster and RGB128-color ambient lighting and various other popular elements, and the interior is made of 50-face cut crystal crystal gear knob, leather seats and microfiber suede. The M5 EREV also boasts excellent soundproofing technology, with the vehicle’s canopy, front windshield and left and right bodywork having four sides of double-layered soundproof glass, enabling all-round noise reduction. The model adopts a new energy-saving mode, which adjusts the power fluctuation of the entire vehicle through energy recovery, vehicle adaptive and other functions, thus reducing the vehicle’s energy consumption. The AITO M5 EREV has a range of 552 kilometers for the performance version of the CLTC, while the standard version can reach 620 kilometers, which is able to meet the needs of daily commuting as well as self-driving in the surrounding cities.
Driven by innovation, AITO car has gained recognition from both the market and the industry for its technological strength. 2024 data shows that AITO EREV models were delivered in excess of 400,000 units, placing it at the top of the list of brands delivering vehicles in that year. In the industry, AITO automobiles received a perfect rating in the CPS crash test, and the AITO M5 EREV model was honored with the German Red Dot Product Design Award.
